Christmas inspired cakes for December.

A2 cake has finally come to the forefront, until now we've had no A2 entries into the cake contest.
But Yasmin upped the game today with a special Christmas entry.
The chequer board middle was delicious and super festive.
Yasmin got a special prize for the only A2 entry so far, do we have any competition?
Well done Yasmin, great cake.

A1 photography

This week we have been continuing with the theme of architecture by creating our own Graham Holland style landscapes.
Some great work underway from Abby, Leoni and Olivia.

We've been creating natural and more abstract landscapes using a range of colours and styles!

Some fantastic edits have been produced all week and need to be added to sketchbooks before we move onto 3d photography next week.
Keep it up folkes!

After a quick trip to Blackpool today we managed to take some great photographs.
We especially liked the light trails from the Ferris wheel and illuminations.
We also did some light drawings on the beach
And around South Pier
The weather was great, spirits were high and the photography was fun.
More Blackpool fun to follow tomorrow.

Enrichment day @ Huddersfield University.

Great turn out, everyone arrived on time, fantastic trip, a BBQ and even the sun graced us with it's presence. Although the coach was a bit stuffy, it was well worth the trip.
We all left with bags of information and free pens!!!
What a fantastic environment to study, the exhibition showed variety and the photographic facilities were second to none.
We even had a sneaky peek at a professional photo shoot and a backstage tour.
An excellent day had by all.
More photographs from the BA (Hons) Photography degree to follow.
Hopefully you have returned full of ideas and inspiration for your unit 3 briefs.
